Saint-Étienne du Grès is located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Its inhabitants are called the “Grésouillais”. It is a small picturesque village at the foot of the Alpilles which has managed to maintain the calm and tranquility that it has always claimed. Until 1935, the locality was attached to Tarascon in the form of two hamlets: Laurade and Saint Etienne. Porte des Alpilles, the village is at the crossroads of roads going from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence to Tarascon and Arles on the one hand, and from Arles to Avignon on the other. The commune extends half over the north-west part of the Alpilles, half over the Crau plain. Two territories with very different landscapes.
